Looksmart Alterations is the largest clothing alterations franchise in Australia and NZ with over 120 stores located in major shopping centres. Our alterations, repairs and restyling service is on a mission to make sure our customers get lifelong value from their wardrobe.

We have a part time position open for an experienced Sewing Machinist / Customer Service staff, to start immediately at our store in Palmerston North. Our stores are compact, busy places and require sewing machinists with customer service skills, who are organised, reliable and committed to high quality standards. In this job, no two days will be the same with your daily tasks; dependent on what jobs come through the door.

To be successful in this position you must have experience in:

• Customer service in fashion industry
• Garment fitting and pinning
• Commercial sewing experience on a range of industrial sewing machines
• Ability to speak, write and understand English and also follow instructions
• Ability to thrive in a busy environment with a ‘CAN DO’ attitude
• Commitment to producing high quality work
• Confidence in working independently and multi-tasking to get the job done.
• Computer skills

Dressmaking, pattern making, design and styling skills would be highly desirable.
